Summer Time!

I am trying to blog on a more regular basis. Mostly to try and keep our families up to date on what's going on. So, here is another short little entry.

It is definitely summer time in Texas! Since our Galveston trip, Emma decided that she likes to "play in waters" (play in the water). So, we have been trying to let her play in her ladybug sprinkler after school before it gets dark (and before she gets totally eaten by mosquitoes). It is pretty funny watching her play. Since we are on well water, it is pretty cold. Even though she says she wants to play in the water she doesn't spend a lot of time actually in the water. Plus, she won't keep her Crocs on even though they are her 'water shoes'. So, she ends up getting her feet all dirty then rinsing them off, then runs around again and repeats this cycle for a few minutes. Then, she decides she wants to try and drink the water coming out of her ladybug. It doesn't work too well because it basically just sprays her in the face. But, it was pretty funny to watch. So we've decided that we want to get her some kind of kiddie pool (something we can sit in with her), but we aren't 100% sure which style we want to get. Any suggestions? We already got her a little sand table (instead of a sandbox because I wanted it off the ground). She enjoys playing in that too. But since it is getting hotter and hotter each day, we wanted to give her something to cool off in. Well, here are just a few pictures from yesterday.

She does love the water. Great way to spend the hot summer days in Texas. But I would rather be here than anywhere else.
