Wednesday

Wednesday – The cruise is almost over and today we have another full day at sea as we start heading back to Galveston. We decided to go have breakfast off the buffet this morning. It was actually really good, too bad we didn’t decide to do that earlier on this trip. Breakfast in the dining room wasn’t bad, but it seemed like there was a better selection on the buffets. We decided to walk around the ship for a while after breakfast. We made our way back to the room to rest so Emma could have some down time (no nap but she did rest for a little bit). After resting, we headed back up to the photo gallery to go ahead and purchase our pictures that we took during our cruise.

After we found all of the pictures we took, we went to the teddy bear workshop (kind of like Build-a-Bear). We bought Emma another bear which came with the stuffing to stuff the bear your self and a few extras for Emma and her bear. It was really cute, we let her choose between the Cat and Bear and she really liked the bear. So, Emma now has a Carnival Cruise Bear named Emmy (Pops’ special nickname for Emma). We went back to the room to stuff Emmy and get ready for the company gathering. ABP had reserved a location for a private company party with free drinks and snacks.

After our little party, the guys went to the smoking area because someone had bought some Cuban cigars for each of the guys. They had to smoke them because they could not be brought back into the US. I wanted Cliff to have fun with the guys and this was a one time life experience. So, Emma and I went with the girls to play Phase 10 out on the pool deck. After a few rounds of Phase 10, we made our way to the farewell party to meet up with the guys. Cliff and I ran back to the room to change Emma and then met back up with everyone at the farewell party. Then, the group headed to dinner for our last night on the ship. For dinner, Cliff had another Caesar Salad and the Short Ribs. I had the Crab Cake and another NY Strip Steak. Emma had the fruit and Grilled Chicken with Macaroni and Cheese. For dessert, I had the molten chocolate cake and Cliff had the baked Alaska (Emma shared with both of us). After dinner, everyone headed back to the rooms. They were all hanging out in the hallway for one last night of fun (and drinking). Cliff hung out with the group for a little bit while Emma and I worked on packing. Cliff came back and helped get the rest of our stuff together.

After everything was packed (other than the few last minute items we would need in the monring), we got Emma ready for bed and she pretty much passed out immediately. After she fell asleep, I watched some tv while working on our blog. Cliff went to get a few last minute items for us. After he brought those back to the room, he went up to the Casino to hang out with a few people from the group. Well, this is the last update until we get back…
