The Howerin Family: Saturday

I wanted to update our blog while we were gone, but we decided that we did not want to spend the money to buy minutes for internet usage. So, I decided to write an entry each night to be posted when we got back. Here is what I wrote…

Saturday – So, for those of you who have not heard yet…We are on a cruise!!! A-Beautiful Pools is celebrating their 25th anniversary and paid for all full time employees and a guest. They let us pay for Emma to come along too. So, we met up at the Fraser’s house this morning to take a party bus to Galveston. Emma did not nap at all on the bus, so she was really starting to get sleepy by the time we got to Galveston. She fell asleep about halfway through the line to check in and board the ship. We had to have a sail & sign card for her and they made us wake her up to take her picture for her card. I was a little annoyed because she had only been asleep for like 15 minutes (not a long enough nap for our little girl). I did not understand why they just could not take a picture of her sleeping face, it was not like she was going to be able to use her sail and sign card anyways, but oh well. We boarded the ship found our room and headed up to one of the decks. Grammy and Grandma were here in Galveston to see us off (and take pictures to add later).

So, we went to the embarkation meeting and then back to the deck to wait for the ship to set sail. By this time Emma was really starting to get sleepy and it was almost time for 6 o’clock dinner. So, we started getting ready and headed to the dining room. Emma was really starting to get hungry so she was a little impatient while waiting for her food to come. Then, all of a sudden she nodded off and fell asleep in the highchair.

Our food came and Cliff and I were able to eat dinner (we both had a Caesar Salad and the NY Strip Steak) before she woke up. She ate a little bit of her dinner (she had the Lasagna) while we waited for dessert. We ate dessert (Cliff had the Molten Chocolate Cake and I had cheesecake with Strawberry sauce) then we headed back to the room. Emma and I got ready for bed, but I guess she wasn’t that tired after her mini cat nap at dinner. We stayed in bed for a little while and watched some tv until she finally started getting sleepy and passed out. Cliff went out with part of the group to a comedy show and then he went exploring the ship. When he came back to the room, I woke up long enough to say goodnight. Oh and to find out...
